Wellcome Trust Hires Third City for Campaign to Fight Epidemics
We’re delighted to be working with charitable foundation the Wellcome Trust to deliver a digital and social advocacy campaign aimed at tackling the global threat posed by epidemics.
We won the business following a competitive pitch involving six agencies and we’ll be supporting Wellcome’s international push to promote vaccines as a tool for epidemic preparedness and prevention.
The campaign will demonstrate the urgent need for the public, private, philanthropic and civil organisations to collaborate and invest in R&D to develop new vaccines against disease with the potential to cause a serious epidemic.
This investment and development will be co-ordinated under the badge of CEPI (the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations – cepi.net) and is supported by a range of governments and organisations, including the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
Commenting on the appointment, Louisa Tribe said: “CEPI wants to stop future epidemics by developing new vaccines for a safer world. We’re excited to be working with Third City to create a powerful campaign to mobilise political and social support for this important cause.”
