Introducing the ‘Creative Collective’ partnership with Goldsmiths

Today we’ve launched a new creative partnership with Goldsmiths, University of London to support local businesses and help the next generation of young creatives transition into the workplace.

Students from across Goldsmiths’ world-famous creative courses will join forces with our own creative team to form a “Creative Collective”, working together on our live PR and social media briefs. The students, who will be drawn from a range of fields from communications to fine art, will be reimbursed for their time with extra bonuses also available if their ideas are taken forward, as well as well as the opportunity for flexible paid-internships to see their concepts come to fruition.

These brainstorms will be done virtually, using a combination of Candor (an app that allows people to add ideas to an online noticeboard), and Google Hangouts, as well as face-to-face via work placements later in the year and in 2021.

We’ll also be supporting the support the University with a number of student and business support schemes via workshops and webinars on the value of PR, including:

– Local business support – aiding businesses in the Lewisham area and Goldsmiths students/graduates eager to start their own creative business or enterprise

GoldReach – providing enhanced careers support for UK undergraduates from underrepresented backgrounds

The Dek Business Growth Programme – aiming to deliver strategic, practical and innovative support to SMEs who want to achieve growth. It’s open to London based individuals and businesses with up to 250 employers.

We can’t wait to get started, and hopefully inspire Goldsmiths’ creatives as much as they are bound to inspire us.
